A house will be torn down to make way for an oil change facility in northeast Fort Worth.

The context

The Fort Worth City Council approved a rezoning request for an 0.81-acre tract of land from agriculture to light industrial at 644 E. Bonds Ranch Road.

The single residential house is located next to a Public Storage location and near a car wash and truck container storage facility. The surrounding areas are zoned as industrial or zoned as general commercial, according to city documents.

The oil change facility will be 1,700 square feet with three bays.

The preliminary site plan provided an overview of the project, according to renderings. City documents stated a formal site plan submission was not required at this stage for the rezoning application.

The site plan will be reviewed at a later date, according to city documents. No timetable was provided for the construction.
