A House With Books will be expanding its offerings in Keller.

What's happening?

Keller City Council approved a specific use permit during the Nov. 19 meeting to allow owner Hayley Smith to start selling used and rare books at her store in Keller Town Center.

Smith opened the bookstore in February 2023, selling new books for adults and children and home decor pieces. Earlier this year, the business expanded its space.

“In order to fulfill our goal of becoming a well-rounded, full-service bookstore this shift is vital to our business,” Smith wrote in the application. “We will still continue to sell mainly new books and will not be buying books from customers—the used book inventory will either be donated or sourced directly by our staff.”

Smith said Nov. 20 that the plan is to have used books for sale by Nov. 23. She said there were already residents interested in donating books.

“We feel it will only enrich A House With Books’s reputation as Keller’s local bookshop and help to continue to draw in visitors from around the state,” Smith said.
