The details
In a post to Chop Shop Live’s Facebook page, the owners of the 22,000 square-foot live music venue and restaurant thanked their customers and staff for years of music and memories.
“We are so proud to have been a part of the city of Roanoke,” the post states. “None of this would have been possible without the amazing people who have frequented our music venue. Thank you so much to our staff and all the great people who have worked here over the years!”
The backstory
According to a company website, country recording artist Randy Rogers partnered with restaurateurs Josh Babb and Sean Clavir to open Chop Shop Live in 2018. The venue was constructed, in part, using salvaged furniture and shipping containers. Menu items included “trashcan” nachos, burgers, sandwiches and “spark plugs"—deep fried jalapenos stuffed with pimento cheese.
