Fort Worth City Council approved incentives for Embraer’s new service center at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth during its session Oct. 15. The $70 million facility is expected to bring approximately 250 new aviation industry jobs to the region.

The details

According to the news release, Embraer designs, develops, manufactures and markets aircraft and systems. The company, which began in 1969, will use the new facilities to continue growing its maintenance, repair and overhaul services network, which will support a growing fleet of E-Jets.

The news release states the project will commence in two phases. The company expects to begin operations in an existing hangar in the second quarter of 2025 while construction of a new state-of-the-art hangar is slated for completion in 2027.

With the new facilities, Embraer expects to increase its capacity to serve E-Jets customers by 53% in the U.S., according to the news release. The new Fort Worth service center will be added to Embraer’s global network, which includes 80 authorized centers and 12 owned-service centers around the world.

The news release states the company partnered with the City of Fort Worth, Denton County and the state of Texas on the project.
