Play It Forward Sports & Entertainment Complex will break ground on its facility in Roanoke on Sept. 18.

According to a news release, the event is open to the public and will feature David Murphy, a former Texas Rangers outfielder and broadcaster. Attendees will also have an opportunity to get their photo taken with the World Series trophy.

In terms of the facility itself, the company website states will offer youth sports opportunities at the travel, club, recreational and community levels. Featured amenities include:

Roanoke City Council members approved a final plat for the facility back in late March.
