The retirement of two business partners at The 206 food hall will bring a few changes to the facility that houses a brewery and food counters on Roanoke’s Oak Street.

The details

Owner James Brown said he and his wife, Katrina, are in the process of becoming the sole owners of The 206 and Soul Fire Brewing after the other two owners decided to retire. James said he and Katrina have been partners in the business since the inception back in 2019.

While James said he doesn’t plan on changing much, he wants to bring back a few drinks that “we feel have been missed.” He said he will continue to brew all of current favorites and reintroduce a couple of old favorites.

Several new businesses have opened recently in the food hall, including Kid Kakes and The Foodery. A few more businesses coming soon include:Two other food counters are currently empty and James said they will soon be filled by a Latin restaurant and an African restaurant.
