The restaurant, Anton’s African Cuisine, opened in June 2019. Business owner Anton Van Vuuren said he closed the restaurant about a year ago and now focuses on the import grocery store and manufacturing his recipe for Biltong, which the company sells in-house and ships nationwide. Biltong is a dried, cured meat that originated in South Africa.
Anton’s thanked customers for their loyalty via social media.
“We are thankful to have so many great patrons wanting to see us succeed in this venture and helping reach our dream every time you purchase something from us,” a post on the company’s Facebook page said.
