Kroger officials kicked off a grand reopening of its north Fort Worth store Feb. 7 with a ribbon-cutting and numerous product samples and giveaways.

The store underwent major renovations and also had a grocery aisle reset by offering new products.

According to a company news release, renovations to the store included a decor refresh to reflect the addition of new local, natural and healthy selections.

The news release states that as part of the renovation, energy efficiency measures were installed, including:
  • New service deli display cases
  • New beer and wine display cases
  • New refrigeration cases throughout the store

Tarrant Area Food Bank officials were also on hand to accept a $205,000 donation from Kroger resulting from the End Hunger Here holiday fundraiser. The news release states that the donation is in recognition of Kroger’s Zero Hunger Zero Waste social and environmental impact plan.
