The new homes—six home sites—add to a town that has just one home under development, said Matt Cox, director of community development in Trophy Club.

The housing addition consists of nearly 3 acres of land and is located south of Trophy Park Drive, east of Nottingham Court and west of Churchill Downs Lane, according to a council agenda memo.
Construction on the subdivision will begin in spring, and the six home sites will be in a gated community, said Nathan Jeppesen of CDJ Contracting Services, based in Geneva, Illinois.
He said in an email the six contemporary custom homes will be built in an “exceptionally exclusive community” and will be “marked by high-quality construction and generously proportioned lots, with a couple of them positioned to overlook the scenic green trail.” He said the first home should be finished by the end of the year.
Although specific pricing details have not been finalized, he said his company projects them to fall within the range of $1.2 million-plus with two lots already under contract with luxury homebuilder Moda Homes.
The property is currently zoned as a single-family district, and the proposed lots meet or exceed the zoning standards for the district, the council memo states, and the property owner/applicant requested to develop the property as a six residential lots and one open space lot with a public right-of-way street with a cul-de-sac serving each lot. The open space lot adjacent to Trophy Park Drive will accommodate required screening and landscaping along the roadway.

Council approved the preliminary plat at a meeting in October. The town engineer and Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 have reviewed and approved the civil construction plans for the development, council learned.
