The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting for the location May 25 at 4:30 pm.
“I see pregnant clients through all three trimesters of pregnancy and offer support as soon as they are ready after delivery,” owner and licensed massage therapist Jennifer Land said. “I find that most of my focused work revolves around relieving lower back and hip pain as well as tension and headaches caused by stress and tightness in the upper back, shoulders and neck.”
Land said she’s always been drawn to working with people during their pregnancies and postpartum. She got into this type of work as a young mother herself, and she saw a huge need for this type of support.
“I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, prenatal yoga instructor and prenatal massage therapist,” Land said. “Once I started helping in one way, I kept finding more ways to serve them. I want people to know that relief from pain, better sleep at night, and reduced stress and headaches are all possibilities—even while pregnant or with a new little one at home. It is my goal to help alleviate these symptoms, and to also provide a listening ear and assistance finding whatever else they need to feel comfortable and more confident as new parents.”
Land said when it came to finding a location for her business, selecting Old Town Keller was an easy choice.
“I was drawn to the huge, old trees in the backyard of the property and the homey feel of this house that's been converted to office spaces—from the porch all the way back to my massage room,” Land said. “Encouraging and helping people through one of the biggest transitions of their life is wonderful, and it's an honor to be part of that journey for so many families in the Keller area. Opening this space has been such a blessing in many ways, and I'm grateful that I get to do this.”
In addition to massages, Land said she also offers hypnosis sessions for people looking to make a positive change in their lives by getting clear on their goals and focusing on what they want for themselves.
