Fairway Drive in Grapevine is closed until early 2026.

The details

According to a city of Grapevine Facebook post, construction started July 7 for road improvements on Fairway Drive that will include a new roundabout near Cowboys Golf Club and Silver Lake Marina. The project is expected to take six months.

There will be a detour to access both locations, as well as the Grapevine Golf Course. According to the post, the detour will be on SH 26 to Grapevine Mills Parkway and onto FM 2499/International Parkway and then a left-hand turn onto Lakeside Village Road before reaching Fairway Drive from the north.

In partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation, the road work will install a new road and trail from SH 26 to the Grapevine Lake Dam. A 10-foot-wide walking trail will be added will span 0.45 miles, connecting with the Links Trail off SH 26, according to the post.


Also of note

During the July 1 Grapevine City Council meeting, an additional no-parking zone was added on West College Street.

The amended no-parking zone runs from Ball Street to Drexel Street on the north side of West College Street. According to city documents, it was done to improve visibility and improve mobility in the area near Cannon Elementary.

With the changes, there is now no parking on the north or south sides of West College Street from Ball Street to the SH 114 frontage road, according to city documents.
