American Airlines started services to Brisbane, Australia, on Oct. 26 and began flying to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Oct. 27 out of Terminal D.
The Brisbane flight is nearly 15 hours and, at 8,303 miles, is the longest trip for American Airlines, according to a news release. The flight service is using a newly designed Boeing 787-9 with 32 premium economy seats and 51 flagship suite seats for this flight, according to flight details on American Airlines’s website.

DFW Airport is now the third market in the United States, joining Miami and New York, to offer services to Rio de Janeiro. According to its website, American Airlines offers more daily flights to Galeão International Airport from the United States than all other airlines combined.
