Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is seeking 38 vendors across all terminals.

The airport opened the deadline for proposals for 17 retail stores, 17 food and beverage outlets and four additional vendors on Aug. 2. The new deadline is Aug. 26, two weeks after the initial one.

Terminal F is being constructed and Terminal C is being reconstructed at DFW Airport, creating the call for more vendors.

The details

The request for proposal includes requests for fast-food options such as hot dogs, chicken, burger, pizza, street tacos, Asian fusion and Italian. Requests also include coffee concepts, grab-and-go retailers, bakeries, entertainment and gaming and passenger nap centers.

According to DFW officials, this is the largest single concessions opportunity since Terminal D opened in 2005. The contracts will be reviewed by the DFW Airport board in the first quarter of 2025, according to the bid packet.

What they’re saying

“Over the next few years, DFW [Airport] will be nearly doubling the space available to its already world-class shopping and dining program,” Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management and customer experience, said in a news release. “This is an all-inclusive opportunity for both our veteran concessionaires to consider expanding as well as for newcomers in the community who operate street locations or other small businesses to participate in the tremendous economic opportunity that DFW provides. We are committed to including small, diverse companies who represent local flavors or national brands.”
