The city of Southlake and Tarrant County entered into an interlocal agreement for repaving Sunshine Lane this summer.

During the April 2 council meeting, the road work was approved in an amount not to exceed $200,000, according to city documents.

The details

As part of the interlocal agreement, Tarrant County will provide the labor and heavy equipment, while Southlake will provide the material, schedule to mill the roadway, provide traffic control, perform striping as needed and pay for half of the fuel costs.

The project will be on Sunshine Lane, from East Highland Street and East Dove Road.

Documents said the project will start in July and work is expected to be completed by Aug. 16, weather permitting. Work would commence from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily to limit congestion, according to documents.
