In July 2022, the city of Southlake approved a contract with EARTC to construction new turn lanes at Byron Nelson and Southridge Lakes parkways off Southlake Boulevard.

The projects started in May 2023, according to the city.

According to city documents, Southlake Boulevard is one of the most heavily traveled roadways, and traffic is disrupted by vehicles slowing to turn. The work will require relocating existing traffic signals and upgrading pedestrian facilities, according to a city memo.
