What you need to know
City crews will begin spraying within the half-mile radius from the trap location Oct. 5.
Spraying will continue through Oct. 7, weather permitting.
The chemicals in the spray are specifically designed to target mosquitos with a quick burn-off in sunlight to mitigate any pet health concerns, according to city officials.
Southlake advises residents to continue taking protective measures to help reduce the mosquito population, including draining standing water in artificial containers, dressing in long sleeves and wearing insect repellent.
