Global esports and technology company Vindex will begin expanding its gaming centers, Belong Gaming Arenas, across the United States this year, including locations in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston.

Belong Gaming Arenas began in 2016 in the United Kingdom and now has over 25 arenas across the country. Belong is working to establish 500 gaming centers in the U.S. over the next five years.

The Dallas-Fort Worth location will be located inside Grapevine Mills, at 3000 Grapevine Mills Pkwy., and is expected to be up and running by fall. The first-ever U.S. location will be in Houston, with an opening date set for summer 2021, according to a news release.

Each location will be equipped with high-end gaming consoles and technology through collaborations with industry brands such as PlayStation, XBOX Series X and OMEN by HP.

“Following more than a year of isolation, people are craving interactive and shared gaming experiences, where they can come together to celebrate a shared love of gaming and its culture,” said Martyn Gibbs, CEO of Belong Gaming Arenas in a release. “Belong will play a key role in the next evolution of gaming by deeply integrating within local communities while also connecting people from around the world digitally.”

Community members will be able to represent their hometown Belong team in inter-arena competition against teams from across the U.S. and the U.K.

Partnerships with local brands, high schools, universities, professional esports teams and more will be announced in the future. Alongside the gaming centers, Belong is looking to launch a digital platform to give community members access to the latest news, leaderboards and recreational and competitive opportunities. www.us.belong.gg
