A resident in town for the past 10 years, Elsborg opened Alpha Men’s Health in January with his wife, Kawai. It was at her urging when he went to a doctor to get his testosterone levels checked. He found out he had low levels and started treatment.
“You get a lot of good life benefits from it,” Elsborg said. “Women are so apt to get checked out and guys won't. My wife had to drag me to get my bloodwork done. I think historically, guys will suffer in silence all the time. I want to create a space to have open discussion for something that can be addressed and something that can help them.”
Elsborg left his job in the corporate world to start this new venture last year. The location offers free testosterone checks as well as free weight consultations. The office offers on-site injection for testosterone replacement therapy, self-administered injection or a pellet insertion in a man cave-like environment with TVs, video games, snacks and drinks, Elsborg said.
