The town of Trophy Club will likely add 14.7 acres to the city limits by the fall.

The details

During the July 28 town council meeting, officials approved a development agreement with Foxwood LLC for a proposed 20-lot residential development named Milson's Point Estates.

The Grapevine-based developer will need for town council to annex three different portions of land before moving forward with the development. One property is a 3.18-acre piece of land and two other parcels, 2.14 acres and 9.47 acres, respectively, will need to be added, town documents state.

The development agreement provides municipal services for the property, which is located north of Milson’s Point Drive and west of Trophy Park Drive, according to town documents.

Items worth mentioning

Town Council formally approved suspending the Oncor Electric Delivery Company rate increase for 90 days.

According to Community Impact reporting, Trophy Club is one of 170 cities that have formed the Steering Committee of Cities Served by Oncor, which is fighting against the company's rates increase.

Oncor filed an application seeking to increase systemwide transmission and distribution rates by about $834 million, or approximately 13%, over present revenues in June. Oncor is requesting that Trophy Club officials approve a 12.3% increase in residential rates and a 51% increase in street lighting rates, according to town documents.

What else?

Trophy Club entered a contract not to exceed $140,000 for a professional service agreement with Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. to create Phase 1 of the Master Drainage Study Existing Conditions Assessment.

The Fort Worth-based company will evaluate all drainage systems within the town, identify deficiencies and problem areas in the town's five major drainage basins.

Phase 1 will address three draining basins, according to town documents. Funding for it will come out of the fiscal year 2024-25 budget storm draining utility fund.
