H.D. Snow and Son House Moving Inc. trekked the house from 750 Shady Brook down Dove Loop Road and through Main Street June 24, eventually placing the home at 619 S. Church St. The location is home to the Settlement to City Museums, a historic village where other preserved buildings are located.
To safely get the house to Church Street, the operators with H.D. Snow and Son House Moving Inc did a series of specialized turns to work around street lights on Main Street.

During the May 6 Grapevine City Council meeting, H.D. Snow was awarded the contract to move the house to the Ted R. Ware Plaza. A rezoning ordinance for the property was approved April 15 to allow the move.
The Settlement to City Museums features the Keeling House Museum, the Donald Schoolhouse, the Cotton Ginners Museum and the Grapevine Historical Museum, which is located within the Grapevine Ice House, according to the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau website.
The background
The house, built in 1912, was originally located at 205 E. Franklin St., according to the Grapevine Area History book.
City documents state it was once the former office for GRACE.
Before that, the house was owned by Charles Edwin Winfrey and Georgia Tate Erwin Winfrey. Charles’ mother was the daughter of Bart H. Starr Sr., the first mayor of Grapevine.
