The Southlake City Council approved Consolidated Electrical Distributors’ site plan to construct an outside storage area at Mustang Court Business Park.
The details
The company is an electrical material provider seeking to move to 1825 Mustang Court in Southlake from Euless, according to city documents. Dennis Killough, Southlake's director of planning and development services, said the request was because the business wanted to construct a 2,970-square-foot outside storage facility to hold and store PVC pipes and metal electrical conduits.
The proposed storage area would be 54 feet by 55 feet, with an 8-foot-tall fence of galvanized chainlink screen with black vinyl slats, according to a presentation during the Nov. 5 council meeting.
A closer look
According to city documents, wiring, light fixtures, wiring, wiring accessories, circuit breakers, electrical gear, tools and fasteners/fittings will be stored inside. A break room, private offices and sales counter will also be in the Southlake location. The business would be located in building No. 2, but no timetable for the move was presented.
To secure a lease with Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Brookfield Properties requested approval of the plan to add a tenant to one of three new buildings.
