1.  Easter event taking place in Southlake
The Easter Bunny has been hard at work filling thousands of eggs with candy and toys for this year's Easter in the Park, sponsored by Gateway Church. Families can hop over to North Park in Southlake to enjoy the fun, including egg hunts by age, inflatables, photos with the Easter Bunny and other activities.

2. Grapevine Mills hosts Touch-A-Truck event
Dallas-Fort Worth-area children are invited to Grapevine Mills on Saturday to touch, ask questions, climb on, sit in and have their photo taken in their favorite trucks and police and fire vehicles. This event will also feature face painting, food trucks and many other family fun-filled activities.

3. Local author signs her book ‘Jane Austen Celebrates’
Local author Lindy Bell will be signing copies of her hardback book "Jane Austen Celebrates at the British Emporium." The book describes the holidays and social affairs during the time of Jane Austen. Guests can visit with the author, purchase a book and have it signed. The store also offers other unique selections of British seasonal items.

4. Bob Jones Nature Center hosts lecture about Texas cats
Learn all about the five cat species that call or have called Texas their home: bobcats, mountain lions, jaguars, ocelots, and jaguarundis. Texas Native Cat Society founder Monica Morrison will use her years of experience working with both wild and domesticated cat species to discuss the demographics, history, status, and future outlook of the state’s native cats.

5. Grapevine Mills to host ‘Muppet Babies’-themed Disney play date
Disney Junior's reimagined "Muppet Babies" chronicles the hilarious playroom antics of the young Kermit the Frog, Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal and brand-new Muppet Baby, Summer Penguin. Under the watchful eye of Miss Nanny, the Muppet Babies use their imaginations to embark on countless adventures that take them to the farthest corners of the universe and demonstrate to young viewers the power and potential of imaginative play. During the "Muppet Babies"-themed Disney Junior Play Date event, families will participate in a variety of activities, including a Muppets Babies Color Wheel make-and-take craft. The fun starts at 11 a.m. at parking lot 1D near Ross. This event does not include live character appearances. In October 2017, Simon announced its new family programming collaboration with Disney Junior, which includes the Disney Junior Play Dates, ongoing events taking place throughout the year at 100 shopping centers across the U.S. The Disney Junior Play Dates events will be featured throughout the year and include on-mall activities around Holiday, Easter and other seasonal celebrations.

6. Marshall Grain welcomes spring with festival and fundraiser for Humane Society of North Texas
Marshall Grain Co. will host a celebration of spring on with live music, pet adoptions craft beer tasting opportunities, free classes, vendor booths, and a huge raffle benefiting the Humane Society of North Texas. HSNT will have pets available for adoption and any animal adopted at the event will receive free a goody bag, including food, treats and a pet name tag. Visitors can also support HSNT by entering the store’s huge raffle with more than a dozen assorted prizes for gardeners and pet parents. Proceeds from the $1-per-ticket sales go directly to HSNT.

7. The Easter Bunny hops over to Grapevine for event
This community event has a twilight egg hunt, face painters, bounce hoses and food vendors. Children should bring flashlights.

8. Southlake hosts Miracle Eggstravaganza event
The city of Southlake has partnered with the Miracle League of Southlake to host the second annual Miracle Eggstravaganza. This award-winning free event is designed for special needs children and their families. Participants can gather at the accessible Texas Rangers Miracle League Field for an afternoon of egg hunts, sweet treats, a balloon artist and photos with the Easter Bunny.
