In a word, no. I recently celebrated my one-year anniversary working with Community Impact Newspaper, and it’s been a year that’s flown by. I’ve experienced all sorts of new things, including Tiff’s Treats and Ice at the Gaylord Texan, and at the end of August I capped it all off by getting married.

Some of you have met my now-husband at the local events we’ve attended together, so now you have to be sure to stop by and say hi when you see us. That’s just one of a lot things that have changed for me this year, but one thing that hasn’t is my belief that news is about conversation—asking questions and listening; stepping into the problem and searching for the reasons and solutions.

I’m still learning about Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake every day. I encourage you to challenge me in that—take the time to contact me and ask about news you’re curious about. But if you’re calling, just ask for Miranda Jaimes, and if you’re emailing, be sure it goes to my email address with my new last name—[email protected].
