Due to “extremely high water levels” at Grapevine Lake, the city of Grapevine announced the July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza will be moved to The Great Wolf Lodge.

The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m. July 4. Viewing locations and parking areas are listed below. Parking fees for some locations will apply. The city advises attendees to arrive before 8:30 p.m. as lots will fill up and roadway closures will begin.

THE REC

  • The REC, the Grapevine Public Library, and the Convention Center parking lots will be available for parking only. The viewing area for fireworks in this area will be the Convention Center (overflow) lot which will be open for spectators only. Chairs are recommended instead of blankets. This area will also have a lower noise level due to the distance from the launch site, according to the city news release.

Also of note

The city will close Northwest Highway from Boyd Drive to SH 26 and Gaylord Trail from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., according to a city news release. Additionally, Texan Trail will be closed from Northwest Highway to Wall Street from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
