Three candidates are on the Republican ballot for Texas House District 98 for the March 3 primary election. The winner of the primary election will appear again on the November ballot against the Democratic primary winner.
Three people are vying to replace Giovanni Capriglione (R-Southlake), who will remain in that position until January 2027. First elected in 2012, Capriglione chose not to seek another term, according to his Facebook page.
The winner of the November election will serve a two-year term in the House. The district represents Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Colleyville, Westlake and portions of Trophy Club, Euless and Flower Mound, according to the state website.
