Why are you running for office?

Our government should operate with discipline and transparency. It should work for the people, not for itself. As a motivated leader with previous local government experience, I can stop the excessive taxation of our residents and put families back in charge of making decisions for themselves.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing Tarrant County?

Politicians, bureaucrats and outside lobbying forces are raising taxes, creating wasteful spending, and focusing on all the wrong issues. With record high inflation and Tarrant County having some of the highest property taxes in the state, having a leader who is financially responsible is vital.

If elected, what would be your top priorities?

The No. 1 priority on the list is putting more money back in the pockets of taxpayers. That means cutting property taxes drastically; eliminating government waste; and creating good-paying, quality jobs. On top of that, we need safe streets and a government that doesn’t waver on ethics.

If you are elected, what can residents expect from you?

There are many needs in the county, but it all comes down to being someone Tarrant County can trust to get the job done. Reliability, trustworthiness and discipline. That’s the kind of leader I’ll be for Tarrant County.

Why are you running for office?

I am running for office because my corporate experience coupled with my community work gives me the insight and passion to serve a county that I live in and love. My unique administrative skill set and my ability to bring people together makes me the ideal candidate to keep a rapidly growing diverse county like Tarrant moving forward.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing Tarrant County?

One of the biggest challenges Tarrant County faces right now is a lack of quality infrastructure—roads, bridges and sidewalks—to service the small and growing cities around the county. Another challenge we face is the need for economic development opportunities to keep up with our rapidly growing population. The last challenge our county faces is the access and allocation of resources to our health care facilities in the wake of a pandemic.

If elected, what would be your top priorities?

My first priority will be creating an attractive economic climate to attract job creators by bolstering our health care system and pushing for fully funded education options for our county. My second priority will be implementing collaborative and comprehensive health care initiatives through management and oversight of county facilities like John Peter Smith Hospital. My third priority will be reforming our criminal justice and jail systems by pursuing policies with the district attorney and our county sheriff.

If you are elected, what can residents expect from you?

As county judge, I will represent every resident of Tarrant County with honesty, transparency and integrity. As a lifelong community worker, I will commit to holding regular community meetings to provide honest updates and receive feedback. It is imperative that people see the county judge.
