Smart Quest Academy, a pre-school that serves children from 18 months to transitional kindergarten, will open in August.

The details

The academy emphasizes hands-on exploration and early literacy through the Science of Reading approach and immersive language development in both English and Spanish. Smart Quest Academy owner Karla Aleman said the school is a Science Technology Engineering Arts Math, or STEAM-focused academy.

Smart Quest Academy offers:
  • Preschool programs for children of 18 months to 5 years
  • Mommy and Me classes for 12-24 months
  • After school Spanish classes for students in kindergarten to 5th grade
  • Part-time and full-time preschool options
Aleman said class ratios start at 1 teacher for every 5-6 students for the youngest groups. The afterschool Spanish classes have the largest student ratio with 1 teacher for every 12-15 students.

Families can apply through the Smart Quest Academy website or schedule a tour of the academy. Aleman said tuition rates will vary depending on a student’s schedule.

The Southlake Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 7 in celebration of the academy opening.
