The backstory
These appointments come on the heels of community backlash regarding the future of several district staff members.
Dozens of Carroll ISD community members showed up to the Carroll ISD school board meeting May 5 to support two principals and oppose the district’s recent actions regarding fine arts programs and coaching staff positions.
The two principals are Christina Benhoff, who served as principal of Carroll High School, and Wilson. Concern in the community grew after word spread their contracts were not renewed.
Both Benhoff and Wilson have since left the district. Benhoff accepted a position with Keller ISD for the next school year, where she will be the principal of Timber Creek High School. Wilson was named the principal of Boswell High School in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.
Quote of note
“Changes involving school leadership can feel unsettling, especially when they involve leaders who have become trusted, familiar faces in our community,” Glenn said. “Please know your voices have been heard.”
