Diving in deeper

There are two ways families can enroll in GCISD's pre-kindergarten program: one is state-based pre-K and the other is tuition-based pre-K.

According to the website, students can qualify for state-based pre-K if they meet one of the following criteria:
  • Their home language is something other than English
  • They are currently, or have been, in foster care
  • The family meets income criteria
  • Parents serve in the military
For those students who do not meet the criteria for state-based pre-K, they can enroll in the tuition-based pre-K program.

Tuition-based programs are offered in the following elementary schools:
  • Bear Creek Elementary
  • Bransford Elementary
  • Colleyville Elementary
  • Grapevine Elementary
  • Heritage Elementary
  • O.C. Taylor Elementary
  • Silver Lake Elementary
  • Timberline Elementary
