Andrew Yeager was sworn in as Carroll ISD’s newest trustee on Nov. 15, bringing the board back to a full count.

Yeager won the vacated Place 7 seat during the Nov. 2 special election against Stephanie Williams, gathering 65% of the votes.

“It’s an honor. I hope to live up to the many expectations that supporters have for me,” Yeager said. “I feel that I will be successful if somebody who didn't vote for me—and perhaps didn't even like me at all—knew that they could talk to me, they could approach me as a trustee.”

After every election, the board must also reorganize and pick new officers. Eric Lannen was unanimously chosen as the new board president, replacing Michelle Moore. Hannah Smith will serve as secretary once more.

Lannen attempted to nominate Moore as vice president but the motion failed. Although there will be no vice president, the board can still operate without one.
