The in-person, outdoor event will take place at 8:20 p.m. at Dragon Stadium, 1085 S. Kimball Ave., Southlake.
Whether the in-person graduation ceremony would take place had previously been in question. District officials released three possible graduation contingency plans in late April.
As it opts to continue with the May 29 graduation date, CISD is taking steps to align its ceremony with recommendations from the Texas Education Agency.
The district will be providing hand sanitizer stations throughout the stadium and turning off water fountains. Bottled water will still be available for students and guests, according to CISD. Additionally, students, and staff working the ceremony will wear nonmedical grade face masks until they are seated. Guests are also encouraged to awear a face covering, but they will not be required to do so.
The stadium will be restricted to 25% occupancy. Graduates will receive five admission tickets: one for the graduate and four for parents or siblings living in the same household, according to the district.
Each ticket will have a preprinted seat and row number that will group those in the same household together. A health questionnaire must be completed before attendees can receive their tickets, according to the district.
The district encourages those age 65 and up and those otherwise susceptible to contracting COVID-19 to view the ceremony over video stream.
