The Grapevine City Council and Grapevine Planning & Zoning Commission approved two conditional use permits for Butter My Brunch and Hokkaido Sushi at the joint meeting held Oct. 21.

Butter My Brunch will open at the Grapevine Station North development on Northwest Highway.
Triston Ida, from Chabolet Development, requested for the sale of alcoholic beverages and seating for 16 on the patio for the property at 919 E. Northwest Highway, Ste. 600.
The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily and will serve breakfast and brunch options, according to Matthew Gacia, who spoke at the meeting. It will be located between MilkShake Factory and WashMasters Car Wash.

Hokkaido Sushi will move into a space that once housed Buffalo Wild Wings, at 1525 William D. Tate. Buffalo Wild Wings moved to a new location in 2024.
According to the presentation, owner Michael Zou has more than 20 years of sushi cuisine experience and operates seven restaurants called Shogun Sushi in Canada.
There will be seating for 189 indoors and 32 outdoors, a reduction of 19 seats indoors and six outdoors, compared to the last tenant, according to city documents.
Sarah Chen, speaking on behalf of the restaurant, said that Zou will be serving sushi, sashimi and roll appetizers in an all-you-can-eat option in an upscale concept.
The official business name is Lin Hokkaido Sushi and is not associated with Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi, which is located in Watauga.
