Portillo’s is expanding into airports for the first time.

What's happening?

The Chicago area-based company announced Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will be the location of the first Portillo's inside any airport.

The dine-in-only format restaurant will be in Terminal B, though no opening date was announced in a news release.

Guests can expect to enjoy Portillo’s signature menu items like Chicago-style hotdogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chargrilled burgers and Portillo’s chocolate cake.

According to a news release, customers can order at the register, self-order kiosks or order ahead for pickup in a grab-and-go area.

What they're saying

“As a fan of the culture, food and history of Chicago, I have also been a longtime fan of Portillo’s,” said Roz Mallet, President and CEO of PhaseNext Hospitality, Portillo’s partner for the DFW Airport location. “I am thrilled to partner with this iconic and rapidly growing brand to extend its reach to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport—its first airport location.”
