A new açai shop is coming to Southlake.

The gist

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, Playa Bowls will be coming to town.

A $125,000 remodel of an existing space in the Park Village shopping center started in December and has an estimate completion date of April 26.

The company’s Facebook page announced its location on Dec. 23 and says Playa Bowl is New Jersey’s original açai shop serving superfruit bowls, smoothies, juices, cold brew and more.


No opening date has been posted on the social media platform.

What else?

According to its website, there are six locations in Texas but this will be the first in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
