Winestein’s Tasting Room is set to open in Grapevine this fall.

During the Grapevine City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission joint meeting on July 16, both boards approved a conditional use permit for possession, storage, retail and on- and off-premise consumption of wine.

Michael and Maranda Einstein will open a business that will offer wine-tasting events, serve tasting flights, wine by the glass and retail sale of bottles.

According to the presentation, the couple plans to offer:
  • Expert-led tasting events
  • Wine education
  • Tasting flights and wines by the glass
  • Curated retail selection
  • Membership Club options
  • Wine appreciation courses
  • Rentable event space
Maranda Einstein said there will be two signature events, Wine FUNdamentals and Bubbles & Brunch. The latter will be held every weekend where guests will sample wine from all over the world and it is paired with continental brunch foods. FUNdamentals will have guests try six wines and learn the production and structure of the wine, she said.

She added there will also be specialist nights throughout the week once the business opens such as "Chardonnay All The Ways" or "Wines of the North West Coast.”

The events would start in October, based on permits being issued for a September opening, per the website.

The location previously housed Lifestylez Nails, which closed on March 11, according to the company’s Facebook page.
