Grapevine’s Bohemian Bull now serving craft burgers, beer

Residents can head to Bohemian Bull for craft burgers, bourbon and beer.

Bohemian Bull opened July 11 in Grapevine at 1112 W. Northwest Highway. Owned by couple Dennis and Sonja Johnson, Bohemian Bull features Boho Burgers, which are ground in-house and made with a blend of Black Angus brisket and chuck steak.

During an Oct. 18 Grapevine City Council meeting, Dennis said he hoped for the restaurant to be open before the holiday season. He later told Community Impact in 2022 the restaurant’s opening was dependent on receiving equipment and furnishings while experiencing supply chain issues.

“You can’t believe the relief of finally being able to welcome customers in,” he said. “We had folks show up before the opening and waited, [standing] outside waiting for us to open.”

The restaurant’s menu items feature made-from-scratch items not only in the kitchen, but behind the bar with its custom cocktail recipes, Dennis said. For the restaurant, Dennis said the couple's goal is to make the restaurant feel comfortable where customers can "walk in anytime."

“You’re going to get good food, and the people that you meet are going to be good folks," he said.

Bohemian Bull serves its Boho Burgers along with sandwiches, salads, wraps and fried chicken, according to its website. It also offers specialty cocktails, draft beers, small batch bourbon cocktails and several bourbon and whiskey options. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Bohemian Bull’s Grapevine location will be the first in Texas.
