The gist
According to the filing, construction of the new dual-brand hotel will cost $14 million. The hotel will be five stories, have 201 rooms, two outdoor flex spaces, a large outdoor pool and lounge space, full-service gym facilities, a spa and wellness center and an elevated food and beverage program, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
Construction is expected to be completed by Feb, 1, 2027, the filing states.
The Hampton Inn & Home2 Suites By Hilton will be located near the corner of SH 114 and SH 121 where the TGI Fridays and Outback Steakhouse used to be. California Pizza Kitchen, Red Robin, Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings were all vacant buildings in that area.
The hotel’s construction was approved during the Nov. 19, 2024, Grapevine City Council meeting.
Looking ahead
The new Hampton Inn & Home2 Suites By Hilton is one of several hotel updates in Grapevine. According to previous Community Impact reporting, more than $200 million in 2025 is being invested into hotel construction, renovations or upgrades in the city.
