The variance is for Mach 1800, an office building located at 1800 E. SH 114. The building owners went before the council in early 2022 for a variance, but a revamped plan was presented in the Dec. 6 meet. A public hearing was held that date with no one objecting.
The building owners will redo the entrance with a mix of stucco and wood beams on the south entrances that face the highway. A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit issued in July shows renovations would cost $85,000 for the front facade and sidewalk replacement. The variance was approved 5-0.
The location previously housed Driven Elite Fitness & Health.
