A hike-and-bike trail adjacent to the future Cotton Belt rail line in Grapevine has received more funding. On June 13, the Regional Transportation Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments unanimously agreed to allocate a total of $2,700,960 toward the construction of the first and second segments of the line. It plans to use money from its federally-funded Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program. Grapevine applied for funding earlier this year. The line will run from DFW Airport North TEXRail Station to Coppell city limits.
