The deadline is coming up for Tarrant County taxpayers to qualify for a half-payment option on property taxes, according to a news release.

Tarrant County taxpayers can split their current-year property taxes into two equal payments. To qualify for the half-payment option, taxpayers must pay for one-half of their total property taxes owed by Nov. 30. The second payment will be due by June 30. The payment should be marked as “Half Payment,” according to Tarrant County’s website.

The Tarrant County Tax Office began mailing property tax statements in early October, and all taxpaying residents should have received their statement, the release stated. If a statement has not been received, then one can be printed through the county’s payment portal, or taxpayers can email [email protected] to receive their statement.

If taxpayers do not choose the half-payment option, then the deadline for taxes to be paid in full without penalty and interest is Jan. 31. Partial payments are accepted at any time after the statements have been mailed, the release stated.

Payments can be made in person at any of the eight tax office locations in Tarrant County. A full list of the locations can be found here. Online payments can be made via electronic check, debit card or credit card here or by phone at 817-884-1110.
