The city of Grapevine will be honoring the 21st anniversary of 9/11 during a Day of Remembrance Ceremony on Sept. 11, according to a news release.

The ceremony will be at the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial at 1000 Texan Trail, Grapevine. As parking may be limited, the ceremony will be livestreamed from the city’s Facebook page.

The event will begin at 7:40 a.m. with an introduction by Grapevine Fire Department Chief Darrell Brown. Remarks will be given throughout the ceremony by Josh Black, national secretary of the Association of Professional Flight Attendants; Mitchell A. Hanson, U.S. Air Force brigadier general and American Airlines first officer; and U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Thomas J. Manor.

The ceremony will conclude with a prayer by Grapevine Fire Department Chaplain Mike Mowery.

There will also be two moments of silence. One will be at 7:46 a.m. in remembrance of the first hijacked plane crashing into the north tower of the World Trade Center and the other at 8:03 a.m. to mark the second plane striking the center's south tower.
