The Grapevine Fire Department responded to the call at approximately 3:06 a.m. and, upon arrival, found smoke and fire coming out of the roof and sides of the building, according to a statement from the Grapevine Fire Department. The cities of Coppell, Flower Mound, Southlake, Euless, Bedford and Colleyville provided on-the-scene assistance and filled in for responding Grapevine firefighters.
There were no reported injuries, according to the statement. The cause of the fire is unknown, and the Grapevine Fire Marshal's Office is conducting an ongoing investigation.
The restaurant sustained substantial damage, including a collapsed roof, said Deitri Brixey, catering salesperson for Baker's Ribs. It is unclear when the restaurant will reopen. Baker's Ribs will still be able to take and fulfill catering orders received by phone and email, and customers can also visit the restaurant's other locations found in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
