The Colleyville City Council will no longer hold a regular pre-council meeting after amending its Rules of Procedure document in August.
The City Council removed a paragraph that stated a pre-council meeting shall be held at 5:30 p.m. in conjunction with regularly scheduled meetings. The council also changed the start time of executive session to 6:30 p.m.
Although regular pre-council meetings are no longer scheduled, the council can still call for a work session in that 5:30 p.m. time slot. Also, "discussion of items not for action" is now included on City Council agendas.
City Council meetings will still be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month unless otherwise scheduled by the City Council.
The next City Council meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 in City Hall, located at 100 Main Street, Colleyville.
