The location, at the corner of East Northwest Highway and Boyd Drive, was approved by the Grapevine City Council during a July 15 meeting, according to previous reporting.
CEO Wade Donnell, who’s been in that role for the past 25 years, was one of the guest speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony. Also speaking were Janice Spooner, NBT Financial's Grapevine market president; Steve Earle, NBT Financial's chairman of the board; and Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate.
The Grapevine location will have a dual-lane drive-through as part of a 4,000-square-foot building. It is located in the Grapevine Station North shopping center.
According to its website, NBT Financial Bank offers personal and business checking and loans for commercial real estate, land, construction and homes.
This will be the bank’s sixth location. Plans for a seventh location, on Camp Bowie Boulevard in Fort Worth, were announced at the groundbreaking.
The bank started in the north Fort Worth area as The National Bank of Texas but rebranded to NBT Financial last year, according to its website. NBT Financial has locations in Hurst, Burleson, Azle, Fort Worth and Willow Park, according to previous reporting.
Earle said the goal for NBT Financial is "to be Tarrant County's premier community bank.”
