Club 4 Fitness
Club 4 Fitness is now open in Grapevine, offering limited hours for workouts, assistant general manager Jaylee Miller said.
The gym will be open 24 hours starting Jan. 1, she said.
Construction is finishing up for the pickleball room and cold plunge, Miller said.
Equipment in the gym includes cycling machines, 360-degree Styku body scanners and hydromassage chairs. The gym also has saunas, a women’s area, locker rooms, tanning, red light therapy and a turf area, according to its website.
The Club 4 Fitness gym in Grapevine received its conditional use permit from Grapevine City Council on Dec. 17, 2024.

The Dallas-Fort Worth region now has a Collars & Co. location at Southlake Town Square.
The menswear brand offers reimagined men’s shirts such as its patent-pending Dress Collar Polo for athletes, celebrities and executives seeking all-day comfort and style, according to a news release.
The business has a variety of polos, sweaters and college merchandise.
Justin Baer, who founded Collars & Co. in 2021, appeared on Shark Tank to promote polos with a firm, dress-style collar in 2022.
“The clothes look and feel great and are incredibly low maintenance,” Collars & Co. investor and Shark Tank host Mark Cuban said in the release.
The Southlake location is the sixth retail location for Collars & Co. and the first in Texas. Other locations are in Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Maryland and California.

Dan’s Bagels now offers an assortment of bagels at its Grapevine location.
The grab-and-go shop serves made-from-scratch sourdough bagel flavors including plain, sesame seed, salt, garlic salt, rosemary salt, and cinnamon sugar crunch.
Dan’s Bagels will have a limited menu during their soft opening period, according to a social media post from the business.

Ashley Reed opened the doors to Galaxy Skate right before Thanksgiving and held a grand opening Dec. 6.
Reed calls herself an avid roller skate enthusiast who started her professional career as an accountant. After a few years, she started thinking about opening her own business. She officially created Galaxy Skate as a business in May 2024 as an online store and offered skating lessons, she said.
Galaxy Skate offers roller skating, mixing in nostalgia with old and new music and a disco ball in the middle of the skating rink. Skaters can choose either traditional skates with four wheels or inline skates.
Galaxy Skate offers adult night skating from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post.
The location was formerly SkateTown, a business that operated in Grapevine from 1997 until closing in 2021. Reed has been renovating the building since Aug. 23, and she initially planned to open in October, according to previous reporting.
The revamped location features an arcade, VR rooms, karaoke rooms and a soft play area to complement the skating experience, according to its website.

Irish retailer Primark opened its doors in Grapevine Mills at the beginning of December, marking the retailer's first brick-and-mortar location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Primark sells clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children. Styles include dresses, shirts, pants, tops, hoodies and jackets, according to its website. The store currently has a collaboration with Disney for some of its products.
The Grapevine location is the fourth store to open in Texas, with the other three in Houston, El Paso and McAllen.
Primark was founded in 1969 in Dublin, Ireland, and has more than 450 stores around the world, with nearly half in the United Kingdom, according to its website. There are currently 36 stores in the United States, including the new Grapevine location.

Ascension Coffee
Ascension Coffee, an independently owned specialty coffee company, will be opening a location in Southlake Town Square this spring, according to a news release from the company.
The cafe will include a full espresso bar, seasonal coffee flights and a slow bar highlighting rotating single-origin coffees from global producers, according to the release. The coffee is roasted in-house at Ascension’s Dallas roastery.
Ascension’s beans will also be available for purchase in the cafe or online, states the release.
Culinary Director Jason Connelly will create a food menu to include overnight oats, steak hash, pancakes and fresh-baked pastries, according to the release. Dishes will also feature Latin chicken and grain bowls, Mediterranean chicken naan and Asian noodle bowls.
“We’ve always believed that great cafés strengthen the communities around them,” said Jessica Keenan, president of Ascension Coffee. “Our goal in Southlake is to bring a thoughtful coffee experience that complements the energy of Town Square and offers neighbors another place to gather and connect.”

Degree Wellness will open its first location in Southlake.
The business is a self-care experience designed for health and wellness enthusiasts seeking elevated, restorative therapies, according to a company representative.
Degree Wellness offers cryotherapy, a cold plunge, an infrared sauna, red light therapy, light facials, compression massages, an oxygen bar and halo therapy, as well as weight management, recovery and performance, and pain and inflammation relief, according to the website.
Founding memberships are now being offered, according to its Facebook page.
Tangles & Co. Salon Suite formerly occupied the space in the Village of Timarron shopping center. According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the building is undergoing $250,000 worth of renovations.

Colleyville Public Library
The Colleyville Public Library now has a Makerspace, an area for crafting and hands-on projects, Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery said.
Equipment includes 3D printing, a laminator, laser engraving, sewing machines, button makers, and a Cricut and heat press, according to the library's website.
The new space cost $109,553, and the city used tax increment finance and Colleyville Economic Development Corp. funds to pay for the construction, equipment and furniture, Lothery said.
The Makerspace opened to the public Dec. 3, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with the Colleyville City Council.

Dig World broke ground on its second location Dec. 8 in Grapevine.
Co-founders Alex Carroll and Jacob Robinson, three of the five Dude Perfect YouTube channel members, officials from Caterpillar Inc. and city dignitaries gathered in a lot across from Grapevine Mills for the ceremony.
The construction-themed amusement park will cost $29.99 for a two-hour time slot for children and adults to operate heavy machinery, according to previous reporting. There will also be three attractions crafted by Dude Perfect.
Plans were announced for the Grapevine location in July, according to previous reporting.
The first Dig World is located in Katy in March 2022 and is also located at a mall operated by Simon Properties.
“We originally had looked at Frisco to be closer to the Dude Perfect guys,” Carroll said. “Honestly, I would say Simon, the city of Grapevine and the EDC of Grapevine just championed it and said you all need to be here. Honestly, they were just good people and worked hard to help us come here.”
Carroll said after the ceremony, the opening date, which was tentatively scheduled for March, will likely shift to when school is out.

Ellery Arbor Memory Care, a Sagora senior living facility, renovated its main street, an interior space designed to resemble an outdoor town square, said Brittany Flower, the Sagora senior living communications specialist.
“The renovations focused on creating an immersive, comforting, and highly engaging environment for residents,” she said.
The main street includes a sweet shop, a sports pub and a movie theater, Flower said. Additionally, the main street includes a dog park with benches and comfortable seating for residents to visit pets, she said.
New carpet was installed throughout the entire community, and the dining rooms received new furniture, decor and accessories to create a home-like atmosphere, Flower said.
“The updated spaces were intentionally created to encourage social interaction, evoke positive memories and enhance daily life in ways that feel meaningful, comforting and enriching,” she said.
The transformation of Ellery Arbor began in March and finished up mid-October, Flower said. The ribbon-cutting to celebrate the renovations occurred Oct. 22.

A conditional use permit for the property located at 1044 Texan Trail was approved during a joint Grapevine City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission meeting Dec. 16.
The company offers custom heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and plumbing, according to its website. It was founded in 1987 and has been headquartered at its current location in Grapevine since 2020.
Due to the growth in employees—from 98 to 135—the business requested to convert warehouse space to office space. The footprint would expand from 22,881 square feet to 30,897 square feet, according to vice president of operations Robert McMillan. Part of the work would include adding office space, converting the loading dock into parking spaces and adding windows to a building without any, he said.

Alpha Men’s Health
Alpha Men’s Health has moved to a new location in Southlake.
The business offers on-site injection, self-administered injection or a pellet insertion for testosterone replacement therapy in a man cave-like environment with TVs, video games, snacks and drinks, according to previous reporting.
The location also offers free testosterone tests and free weight consultations.

After nearly five years in the Park Village shopping center, Spruce Home + Closet has a new location in Southlake off North Carroll Avenue.
The retail store sells clothing and accessories, candles, bags, hats, and jewelry, according to the website.
The first location, a 2,000-square-foot space at 11610 E. Southlake Blvd., Ste. 240, was opened by owners Dan and Amy Kelly on Nov. 28, 2020.
The move to Southlake Town Square officially started with a soft opening Nov. 14, according to store management.

Dickies Clearance Store is closed in Grapevine Mills.
The store sold clothing and accessories for men, women and children, according to its website.
The Grapevine location opened Aug. 16, 2024, according to previous reporting.
A lockout sign on the door of the now-California-based company, dated Nov. 24, states the closure was caused by unpaid rent.
Once based in Fort Worth, Dickies relocated to Costa Mesa in December 2024, according to a news release. Its parent company, VF Corp., also manages Vans.
The apparel company was established in 1922 in Fort Worth, moving from making equipment for workhorses to outfitting workers with denim bib overalls, according to the company’s website.

IKEA Plan and Order Point is closing in Southlake, according to a company news release.
The store, which opened in 2023, offers kitchen, bedroom and bathroom solutions and allows customers to book an appointment with an IKEA planner to design products and arrange for delivery, according to previous reporting.
Customers who have a current kitchen, room, or business planning project open at IKEA Southlake can complete it before the store closes or switch it over to any other IKEA store or online with a remote planner, the news release states.
IKEA also has locations in Frisco and Grand Prairie.
