Construction on the new Lambert Home headquarters should be wrapped up by early 2026.

CEO Katie Lambert, who owns the business with her sister, Sarah, is overseeing the construction of a new 12,000-square-foot office and showroom at 1700 N. White Chapel Blvd. off SH 114.

The Southlake City Council approved plans for the new building during the June 4, 2024, council meeting, according to previous reporting.

The business celebrated its 10th anniversary Oct. 14.

What’s happening

The interior design and construction firm is currently located at 2787 E. Southlake Blvd., Ste. 105, but Katie Lambert said the plan is to tentatively open the new location March 3. The lease at the current spot ends Feb. 28, she said.

The new space will provide storage for furniture for projects the company is doing, while also being able to expand the retail portion to have a showroom to display home decor, lighting, artwork, bedding and accessories. Katie Lambert said there will also be a show bathroom to display the type of work the company provides.

The expansion will also include a meeting space.

Zooming in

The current location on Southlake Boulevard is 2,000 square feet, Katie Lambert said. She said talks between her sister and her about a possible expansion started back in 2022, and the purchase of the land took about a year.

Lambert said the goal was to stay in Southlake when looking for land for the new building.

“We definitely know that Southlake is right for us,” Katie Lambert said. “That's where we've been for 10 years. That makes the most sense for us. We also have a lot of heart and compassion for this area. You can have community, you can have culture and we're very committed to Southlake for that reason. We think they can have more joy in their lives and we're committed to bringing it to them.”

After the council’s approval last year, construction started March 2. The work is being done by the same contractors who work for the company on home remodels.

“It is the craziest thing ever; we’re so used to being part of the process, but when it’s your own, it’s a little different,” Katie Lambert said. “Our current struggle is trying to figure out our exterior paint color, which sounds so dumb, but ... we are struggling.”

The details

Lambert Home primarily focuses on residential work, but has done work on a restaurant in Fort Worth and worked on a few insurance agents’ offices. The current interior client base includes clients in Kentucky and South Carolina, and for design there’s been work in New York, Florida and Utah, Katie Lambert said.

What else?

The business currently has 10 employees and is a family affair that also includes Katie Lambert’s husband, a sister-in-law and Lambert’s father, who is overseeing this current construction project.

Katie Lambert said some subcontractors they use have been with the company for all 10 years and include some from their church or former youth groups, or former co-workers with their dad, who was an air traffic controller.
