The details
The city of Grapevine issued a building permit on Sept. 26 for the addition of a 13,118-square-foot building with a construction value of $6.3 million. The project should be completed by late 2025.
The addition will include more service bays, staffed by Porsche-certified technicians and a state-of-the-art photo booth to take photos for online car listings, Avondale Director of Marketing Dave Cantu said. He said the additions will allow the dealership to grow to meet the demands of the customers.
Cantu said that price tag is just for the building alone and the company will invest even more millions in equipment once construction concludes.
“This was a brand new Porsche center,” Cantu said. “So essentially we started with zero clients. We weren't relocating from anywhere. Our teams here at Porsche Grapevine have just been really well received in the community and business has been phenomenal."
What else?
The project will be the first major addition since the Porsche dealership opened in Grapevine on July 25, 2018.
“We're very fortunate to be in this community,” Cantu said. “Business has been great. We have great clients. We're not having to go out and wonder where our service clients are going to come from or what are we doing next. I think we feel great about doing that in Grapevine and it's allowing us to continue to grow.”
