Colleyville Christian Preschool has rebranded as The Pillars Christian Learning Center Colleyville East after a change in ownership.

A renovation was done throughout the building and, for a month this summer, students attended the location on Cheek-Sparger Road in Colleyville.

The building was originally a La Petite Academy and had been Colleyville Christian Preschool for the past 14 years, according to Tiffany Edwards, School Director of The Pillars Colleyville East.

The Pillars purchased this location in March and moved Edwards from the Cheek-Sparger location to the new one, allowing her to oversee the renovation and rebranding before the 2024-25 school year.

Edwards said the motto for The Pillars is "Love God, Love Learning, Love Children."

What's happening?

There were a handful of changes implemented by the new ownership group, led by founders Melissa and Geren Anderson, which include:
  • A storage room that was converted into an infant/toddler room
  • The implementation of Kisi, an app for parents to gain access to the building to unlock the front door
  • The former director's office was converted into a commercial kitchen
  • New paint
  • New restrooms and sinks
  • An on-site chef; in the past parents had to send lunch or pay for a catered meal
  • A sanitation machine
  • The former owner’s library was turned into a play area with new windows
  • Upgrade to outside playground areas
What else?

The Pillars also has programs for 2- and 3-year-olds, a Pre-K program, private kindergarten and a before/after school program for students from kindergarten to 13 years old. Students can receive transportation from four nearby schools, Edward said.

There are stations for art, Biblical study, STEAM projects and homework. Edwards noted it is a non-denominational school with a variety of religious backgrounds among students and staff. The students learn Bible stories, sing, pray and have daily devotional time, according to information from the school.

Edwards says The Pillars will also offer winter break, spring break and summer camps.

This is the third location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for the San Antonio-based business.
