Merrill Lynch offers a personalized financial planning service to help clients build a plan that's centered on their goals, according to its website.

The new location is inside Granite Place II and construction on the office started in October 2023, according to an email from Alli Mickey, a spokesperson for Bank of America. She said the office will house 50 employees.

“This is fantastic for us here in Merrill,” said Scott McConaghy, market executive with Merrill Lynch. “We’ve been serving the community for about 20 years already and now we have a newer and more modern space to serve. This location is much more convenient being alongside State Highway 114 and we have a parking garage right here. We have a secure and private place for our clients that are going to visit us.”

McConaghy said their research has shown when people move to a new community, they oftentimes want to work with a local company. This new location will provide that avenue.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the renovation of the office space cost an estimated $2.06 million.

Merrill Lynch was acquired by Bank of America in 2009.
