Fit Factory unexpectedly closed its Colleyville location Aug. 13, much to the surprise of members and staff.

The details

A post on the business’s Facebook page said it was closed due to “unforeseen circumstances” and that management was “actively working with our landlord to determine next steps.”

Tara Cramer, a trainer at Fit Factory, posted that she was never notified of the closing.

Quote of note

“I had a [5 a.m.] client on Tuesday [and] never received any kind of information,” Cramer posted. “I am appalled at the situation as well!!”

A closer look

Crunch Fitness representatives were on site at the Colleyville location Aug. 15 talking to members and other interested parties who showed up to determine what caused the closure and the next steps the company is taking about their memberships.

“Crunch Fitness will be taking over this location,” said Nazli Bennar, corporate sales representative for Crunch Fitness.

In the meantime, Bennar said Fit Factory members can use the Crunch Fitness location in North Richland Hills or any other Crunch Fitness in the Metroplex. She said members must bring their Fit Factory membership card or show their virtual card on their phone, and a photo ID. She added a new website and phone number for the Colleyville location should be up by Aug. 19.

“Crunch Fitness is very community-based,” Bennar said. “Our facilities all have high energy and our staff has lots of fun with our members.”
